I would just like to thank you for the changes that your class has made for me. I've used some of what I learned in your class about creating a work environment where people feel safe, supported and protected. I am not in a management position but I learned that it doesn't matter and I can still help make those I work with feel that way.

There is a co-worker that I had struggles over the years to help motivate him to be up to date on his administrative work. I've tried leading by example to the point of driving myself very unhappy. One of the videos you had us watch mentioned, don't ask to help, just help. So I did, I went and help him catch up with his work. He was a month and a half behind and I helped him get up to only 3 days behind. I sent him an email (we work remotely and he was off on the day I helped him) and told him I helped him and asked if it bothered him to please let me know. He responded in thanks and the last almost 2 weeks now, he's been completely up to date to the day! All these years of trying to lead by example and all I had to do was help him a little. So simple, but it's so effective.
